Welcome to Oslo, for the SFRR (Europe) Annual Meeting 2010

For the first time, the SFRR-E  annual meeting will take place in Norway, from Sunday September 12^th  to Wednesday 15^th, 2010. Also for the first time, SFRR-E will hold a joint symposium with the European Environmental Mutagen Society (conference web site www.congrex.no/eems), which will hold its annual meeting later in the same week.  Both conferences will be held at the Royal Christiania Hotel and Conference Centre, in the heart of Oslo.

Sessions in the SFRR-E meeting will include:  Free radicals in the human environment; Cell signalling and reactive oxygen; Free radicals and aging; DNA oxidation after ESCODD; Minerals and trace elements; Phytochemicals and oxidative stress; Oxidative stress and metabolic syndrome; Free radicals and the natural world.

The theme of the joint symposium with EEMS (on September 15) will be DNA Repair, which is of obvious interest to members of both societies. The symposium will be followed by a reception at the City Hall, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Oslo.
